Breaking the Mold: A Cheese & Wine Pairing at BriarPatch Auburn

May is American Cheese Month and we’re celebrating the artisan makers across the country who put all the love into making some of the world’s best cheese (Move over, France!). We’ll milk the evening for all it’s worth, sampling five delicious cheeses from our famed ‘Cheese Island’ expertly paired with five wines by Amanda Simpson of Serendipity Wines, one of our favorite distributors.  

Our team of BriarPatch fromage enthusiasts from the culinary team will walk you through a journey from creamy and smooth to rich and blue, with lots to savor in between. Attendees will take home their own wine glass as a fun memento of the evening.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to California Farmer Justice Collaborative. The CFJC's mission is to build a fair food system, challenge historic racism and oppression, and regrow agriculture with farmers of color at the center and directing its course. In 2017, CFJC worked to pass the Farmer Equity Act, adding a definition of Socially Disadvantaged Farmer and Rancher to the California Food and Agriculture Code.
