Soba So Good - Aug. 19th - Vegetarian Option

In Japan, where it gets plenty hot in the summer, cold soba noodles, served with a dipping sauce, are a common snack or light meal. At this class we will make fresh Soba noodles that are 80% buckwheat and 20% wheat. We will also make two dipping sauces. One sauce will be made using bonito flake, kombu and tamari and the other sauce will be tahini based. Then we’ll enjoy our creation with fresh seasonal vegetables such as cucumber, scallion, and whatever else can be found at the BriarPatch that would make a tasty addition.
