October 4, 6-8pm
with Kayla Wexelberg
The Armenians have been the subject to multiple invasions for hundreds of years – from the Persians, Romans, Ottoman and Russian empires, and others. While the people retain a strong individual identity, their culture is fascinating and foods diverse. Armenian cuisine offers a delicious array of flavors and taste sensations! In this class we will make Lamanjoon - an Armenian style flat bread pizza served with lemon and a fresh soft cheese, Lebneh. We’ll also prepare Manti - a traditional hand-folded pasta dumpling served in broth and topped with sour cream and chives – and a classic Armenian salad. Enjoy getting to know the history and flavors of this ancient and powerful culture. Dairy-Free option available.
